A showering of ice cold water on chilly January day is something that most people don't look forward to, but that's exactly what was in store for Mount Juliet resident, Col. Jacqueline Nave.

Upon landing at the 118th Airlift Wing on Jan. 27, with fire hose in hand, a fireman with the Nashville Air National Guard unit doused the colonel with an icy shower, marking the end of her reign as commander of the Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron.

Nave officially retires in April.
