Where can I get information about Space Available (Space A) travel?
The best resource is to either visit the AMC Travel Site, or contact the nearest military passenger terminal (a list of Passenger Terminals is available on the AMC Travel Site). The terminal staff will have the most current information. If you plan to travel Space A, contact the passenger terminal(s) where you plan to depart from.
All National Guard and Reserve members are required to have a DD Form 1853 in their possession while flying space available. This form must be signed by your unit commander.
Personnel showing after established show time will be denied travel.
Note: All fights, schedules and seat availability are subject to change with little or no notice.
Return flights on scheduled round-trip flights are not guaranteed. Manifesting for the return leg requires the traveler to ensure they are on the space-a standby list at the return point of departure.
Example: A round trip flight from this location to Hawaii will require the traveler to be added to the space-a standby list at Hickam AFB, HI for the return leg of the flight.
