Chief Master Sergeant TRENTON R. “MIDAS” WILLIAMS

CMSgt Trenton Ross Williams is the Command Chief of the 118th Wing, Berry Field Air National Guard Base, Nashville, Tennessee. He is responsible for advising commanders and staff on all areas to provide mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale, and welfare of the commander’s enlisted Airmen. He provides leadership to the enlisted force to enhance combat capability, readiness, and quality of life for a community of nearly 1200 military members and their dependents. Chief Williams is currently assigned to the ANG Chief Master Sergeant Orientation Course as Lead Facilitator.


Chief Williams enlisted in the Tennessee Air National Guard in March 1991, joining the 105th Airlift Squadron as a C-130 Loadmaster. While assigned to 105th Airlift Squadron, he was mobilized and deployed on multiple occasions in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. In 2008, the 105th Airlift Squadron became a formal training unit under AETC where he was selected as the Formal Training School Course Manager. Chief Williams served as a Loadmaster Instructor/Evaluator, training U.S. and International Students. In 2012, the 118th Wing transferred to ACC, then converted the 105th to a new MQ-9 Attack Squadron where he served as a MQ-9 Sensor Operator Instructor/Evaluator. In 2018, he was selected as the 118th Operations Support Squadron Senior Enlisted Advisor. Prior to his current position, he served as the 118th Operations Group Superintendent, 118th Wing, Berry Field Air National Guard Base, Nashville, Tennessee.
