Requirements NON-PRIOR SERVICE - The Air National Guard is looking for high quality individuals to take us into the 21st century. If you have never served in the military, and you meet the following qualifications, you may be just the person we are looking for. - High school graduate or equivalent - 17-34 years old - Be a United States citizen or a permanent legal resident - No history of major law violations or illegal drug use - Be in good health - Meet Air Force height and weight standards - Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test PRIOR-SERVICE - The following qualifications apply if you have prior military service. - Honorable discharge from last period of service - Be able to complete 20 years of total combined service by age 60 - High school diploma or equivalent - Reentry code from last period of service that is not a bar to reenlistment - Be a United States citizen - No history of major law violations or illegal drug use - Be in good health - Meet Air Force height and weight standards - Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test If you have any questions about your eligibility to join the Tennessee Air National Guard, contact one of our recruiters.
